Transport approvals and independent third‑party verification

Transport projects often involve approvals from a range of independent regulatory bodies. 

Flindt Kristensen Engineering ensures that your project is reviewed and approved by the appropriate parties — including lassification societies, Marine Warranty Surveyors, and other relevant third parties.

We handle the dialogue on your behalf and ensure that all technical and documentation requirements are met. This creates a smooth process and ensures that the project is approved without delays.

Engineering documentation and verification of lashing systems

We carry out thorough verification of lashings and cargo securing for transport by truck, train, or ship:

  • Road transport: EN 12195

  • Rail transport: EN 12195 or applicable local standards

  • Sea transport (small components): IMO CSS Code

  • Sea transport (larger and critical items): DNV‑ST‑N0001

Our documentation ensures that the cargo is properly secured and can withstand the loads encountered during transport.

Advanced engineering calculations and analyses

Beyond lashing calculations, we provide detailed analyses of the transported components as well as the vessel decks. We apply a combination of:

  • Analytical structural calculations

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

  • Fatigue assessments and durability evaluations

This methodology allows us to detect critical stresses and ensure that components or decks are not subjected to long‑term degradation.

Production and QA of transport equipment

We have our own assembly workshop, where we can handle both assembly and test‑fitting of transport equipment. This enables us to quality‑assure the solution before it moves into final production or is delivered to the customer.

Furthermore, we provide complete solutions through our steel production partners – in Denmark as well as internationally.

This ensures you receive a fully integrated delivery, with us handling the entire process from design and engineering calculations to the final product.
