Flindt Kristensen Engineering has developed a purpose-built nacelle deepsea frame for assembly, handling, and transportation of nacelles weighing up to 800 tonnes.

The solution is designed with a full value chain perspective – from production line to offshore installation.

The frame meets the requirements from the manufacturing setup, where accessibility, assembly conditions, and space optimization are critical parameters. At the same time, the design ensures efficient handling and a high level of safety during internal transport and load-out operations.

Integrated deck lashing interface

A key feature of the design is the integrated interface for vessel deck securing, enabling fast and efficient lashing.

This reduces both operation time and complexity during load-out while ensuring a reliable fixation throughout transport.

Flexible design tailored to complex offshore demands

The frame is engineered to accommodate multiple nacelle configurations, providing a high degree of flexibility and future-proofing for the customer’s logistics setup.

To minimize limitations related to vessel selection and weather windows, the frame is designed to operate within a wide envelope of vessel accelerations. This has been achieved through close collaboration during the development phase, focusing on asking the right questions early.
