Flindt Kristensen Engineering has developed and delivered an advanced tugger lifting tool designed for safe and efficient heavy lifting operations in the offshore wind industry
Precision control – no compromises
The case combines several of our key competences in one project, including custom engineering, lifting equipment, and transport solutions.
The tool is mounted directly beneath the crane hook, enabling full control of the suspended load – without the need for manual taglines.
Using an integrated remote control system, the operator can rotate the suspended load around the vertical axis during lifting. This ensures precise orientation of components, even in challenging offshore conditions, while significantly reducing the need for personnel in hazardous areas.
Designed for nacelle installation
The solution is specifically engineered for nacelle installation and supports lifting in two different configurations, providing flexibility during offshore operations. In addition, the tool can be used for lifting tower sections, increasing its versatility across installation projects.
High capacity and self-contained operation
The tugger lifting tool has a WLL of 1150 tonnes and is fully battery powered. The hydraulic pumps are driven by an integrated battery pack, offering several key advantages:

- No need for external power supply or hydraulics
- Increased operational flexibility
Optimized logistics
The delivery also includes a purpose-built storage frame, ensuring safe handling, transport, and storage of the equipment between operations.
